We have a one tracked mind: raising happy and healthy children is all we care about and we’ll do anything for these little ones.
Yup, we’d do anything - and we do everything. The housework, the job, the side hustle, the midnight potty accidents, the mid afternoon tantrums. We carry them, soothe them, provide for them, kiss their boo boos, shoo away the monsters under their beds, read them just one more story and go the ends of the world for them.
You do all that because you’re a rockstar and a hella awesome mom. But let’s be honest: sometimes the load is a little heavy. Sometimes it’s a bit too much.
And here’s the good news: from a mother of five, I want to tell you that there’s one thing you don’t need to do for them any more.
One thing that - from the moment they’re born - they can and should and must do for themselves.
